About us

Nani is a nonprofit aimed to protect Tahiti and her islands and revitalize our culture for future generations in a viable, economic way for all. Our goal is to encourage locals and tourists to safeguard French Polynesia’s nature and culture by creating impactful community projects, raising awareness, and creating community.

Association Nani is not just a nonprofit; it's a movement. Your support matters. Whether you're a traveler seeking meaningful experiences or a local passionate about preserving your home, we invite you to join hands in shaping a sustainable future for French Polynesia.

Founder’s Story

I was born and raised on the island of Tahiti by a Chinese father and Polynesian mother from Taravao.
One day a friend asked me, "What are you good at?" to which I replied, "I'm good at greeting people and putting a smile on their face." Little did I know that these traits would lead me towards my future career.
While I traveled around the world and pursued my education abroad, my mother passed away, which prompted me to follow my dreams and honor her memory.
Nani means "beauty" in the Polynesian languages. Nani is also the name of this loving Tahitian, who radiated the warmth and hospitality of our islands through her smile.

I created this nonprofit with my brother as a tribute to this incredible woman and to all the mothers who reflect the purity and joy of French Polynesia.
